Hi, I’m Mauranda — a Christian dating coach, Communications Specialist, and the founder of The Confident Christian Dater Academy. I’m deeply passionate about helping Christian women date with confidence, honour, and authenticity, because I know first-hand how challenging and confusing the journey can be.

When I gave my life to Christ at 18, I thought dating would be simple if I just followed the “rules.” But, I soon found myself in a string of situationships that left me feeling drained and disillusioned. Like many Christian women, I tried to fix things with prayer and passivity, because most of the resources I turned to were steeped in purity culture and didn’t offer much practical wisdom.

It wasn’t until a close friend gently challenged me to do something different — to stop repeating the same patterns and actually step out of my comfort zone — that everything changed. I started reading dating books, applied what I learned, and slowly began to reframe dating as something healthy, fun, and full of opportunities for growth. I went on over forty dates, found love twice, and even discovered the freedom to take initiative — like asking men out, which used to terrify me!

What really lit a fire in me, though, was seeing how my story inspired others. Friends began asking for advice, and our honest conversations turned into a small book club. Watching their confidence grow and their dating lives shift was a beautiful confirmation: God was doing something bigger here. That’s when I knew I had to turn this into something more.

Through The Confident Christian Dater Academy, I help women break free from fear and confusion around dating, and step into a new kind of culture — one built on honour, communication, and deep trust in God. Whether it’s through events, workshops, or one-to-one coaching, I guide women to date with joy, boldness, and faith.
