At 18, I committed my life to Christ but found myself in a number of unfulfilling situationships. Despite my efforts to improve in dating, most dating resources steeped in purity culture merely advised prayer and waiting, offering little practical guidance. Five years later, discouraged and yearning for change, a trusted friend challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and reconsider my approach, warning that persisting in old patterns would only hinder progress. Embarking on this journey, I immersed myself in dating books and applied its lessons, transforming my mindset to view dates as opportunities for growth rather than steps toward marriage. Over time, with a more relaxed attitude, I went on over forty dates, found love twice, and even took bold steps like asking men out—something I had never imagined doing. Witnessing my transformation, close friends confided their exhaustion with dating and mirrored struggles, inspiring me to launch The Confident Christian Dater Academy as a small book club. By reading and implementing lessons from both Christian and secular dating books,  My friend’s confidence and the number of dates they began going on grew and I quickly realised that I couldn’t stop there but that I needed to switch this small little book club into a larger scale service that would help more women like me and that’s how The Confident Christian Dater Academy was born.
